I just realised I'm yet to formally introduce myself in this thread although I know most of you already; also known as the chick on the JHB poster (resembled only pre-practice/sweat on a sunday and now a wednesday!!) My name's Kitty Lane, I started skating with Fight Cub after Fishnet Burns for a couple of months, but lack of monies meant no proper skates! so I'm finally back and probably more enthusiastic for derby pain than is normal which is a new attitude for me haha! I've missed you all so much, I'm so happy to be back

Hey my name is Keefe or hopefully my skate name will be Fate Accompli, well I had my first session on skates at fresh meat Sun. Totally awesome, hot sweaty and man does it hurt if you fall multiple times on your tail bone, despite the pain and walking like John Wayne today I can't wait for the next time my feet will be encased in skates.

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself!
I'm Juliet & I came to fresh meat on Sunday (thanks to Tartie for being so nice to me & my friend, & for lending me your things!).
I'd heard of ARRG when it first started up - Sarah/Switch gushed about it every time I saw her, but it wasn't until I came to the Jailhouse Block bout that I realised what it actually was & saw how much fun it looked!
I'm really excited because this is the first time in YEARS that I have had free weekends - I ran a cupcake company (on top of a full time job) for two years & any spare time was very limited (& tended to involve cake), but now the world is my oyster (and other cheesy things). So basically I am very, very excited about learning how to skate & getting fit. Hoorah.

Hiya all lovely ARRG ladies, just realised I haven't introduced myself My name's Katharine (no derby name as yet, all the good ideas so far are already taken!) and I was at fresh meat Sunday the other week and had a ball. I'm a student at the moment doing a masters so unfortunately, although I'm dead keen, my schedule over the next two months involves a three week fieldtrip, coursework and exams so until the summer I cannae be there every week BUT I will be practicing (I bought my own skates - told you I was keen ) and will be there every week I can. Hope to see you all soon, and thanks to Psychobeing for being so helpful at FMS! Kx

yaay great to have you all on board too! I get so excited for Fresh meat sunday and it's so awesome when everyone is super keen Im also happy its almost nice weather time so we can get lovely outdoor skating on the go again!! Juliet you made me laugh saying me gushing on about derby - it really does have that effect on you, and now you'll be the derby addict preaching on at all your pals hehehe
